Emergency? Get Help Right Away!

If your pet is facing a serious medical issue that can’t wait, don’t hesitate—seek emergency care immediately.

Here are some signs that your pet may need urgent medical attention:

  • Swollen belly (sudden or severe)
  • Attacked by another animal or involved in a fight
  • Uncontrolled bleeding
  • Collapsing or struggling to stand/walk
  • Trouble breathing or choking
  • Difficult or prolonged labor (trouble delivering puppies or kittens)
  • Electric shock (chewed a cord, lightning strike, etc.)
  • Frequent vomiting or diarrhea (especially with weakness or dehydration)
  • Signs of heat stroke (panting heavily, excessive drooling, weakness)
  • Seizures or unexplained tremors
  • Hit by a car or any serious accident
  • Sudden extreme weakness or lethargy
  • Can’t pee or poop (straining with no success)

If your pet is experiencing any of these symptoms, don’t wait—get them to a vet as soon as possible.
